“Livy”, owner of Livingston Physical Therapy, has been practicing physical therapy since 1997. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Miami University in 1995. She then received her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in 1997. Initially Livy was employed at JFK Medical Center in Edison where she rotated between outpatient, acute care, brain trauma and rehab settings. She was then employed at Hudson Physical Therapy where she practiced outpatient orthopedics for 7 years and managed 2 clinics in Clifton and Hoboken.
Livy continued her career as a private practice owner in NJ for 6 years. In September of 2012 Livy opened Livingston Physical Therapy in Little Silver where she provides quality one-on-one physical therapy to a variety of patients. Livy has completed numerous continuing education classes. She is also an A.C.E. certified personal trainer and a certified Tai Chi instructor with the Arthritis Foundation. Livy is an avid runner and has completed 6 full marathons. She loves to share her passions of health and fitness with all her clients
Laurie Sciscente graduated from Long Island University in 1990 where she received her Masters in Physical Therapy and her Bachelors in Health Science. She became a physical therapist because of her fascination with movement and how the human body can heal and change. With more than 25 years of experience working in a variety of settings including orthopedics/sports medicine private practice, hospital, rehab, assisted living and homecare settings, Laurie has treated a variety of patients, primarily orthopedic, as well as sports medicine, neurological, geriatric, amputee, and wound care. Laurie also completed her certification to teach Hatha Vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga and prenatal yoga. Laurie practices yoga and plays tennis regularly. Her USTA tennis team played in a national championship in 2014.
Laurie offers a yoga class at Livingston Physical Therapy that is available for appropriate patients.
